Tip 1: Exhibitors plan to design a prize winnig booth

Preparation, testing and troubleshooting prior to showtime is critically imperative. Organize the supplies you will require, any audio visual equipment, entry forms, booklets, professional signs, brochures and business cards. Be sure to ask for electrical energy from show organizers well in advance if you require it. Also, don't let any piece of marketing material leave your tradeshow booth without your corporate ID and contact info on it - people Should know how to make contact with you after the show.

Tip 2: Ask easy questions

Ask open-ended questions. The biggest fault of trade show participants is imposing closed questions. Any question that can be answered in a no or a yes is damaging to you establishing your services. Why you might ash, the reason is pretty simple. Prospects view closed questions as easy to not respond to. They give you a 'yes' or 'no', while they keep on walking. That's not what you want. You want them to pause and think about your company product. Make them stop and answer your question. Get them talking. Plan some good "opening statements" prior to approaching.

  • Read contract carefully:Understand terms, show rules, pay- ment schedule,and space assignment method (by product category,seniority,membership,etc.).
  • Send in space application and first payment.
  • Prepare budget.Keep the budget on a spreadsheet for actuals

  • Determine purpose for participating in show.
  • Select space:Study floor plans,traffic patterns,services, audience makeup. Do you need power? Is there a need for phone or internet connections? Do you need to be against a true wall?

  • Tip 3: Give your visitors something to play with.

    When visitors manipulate objects they frequently become attached to them. They get aquainted with the idea of the way the product feels and are more happy with the thought of buying them. Therefore, advise your exhibitors to put in audiovisual aid displays that attendees can operate easily -- feeling like they're a part of the trade show experience when they interact with your products.
