Tip 1: You'd better be prepared on Tradeshow day

Preparation ahead of time is important. Co-ordinate the supplies you will need, any audio visual equipment, booklets, Pamphlets, brochures, product samples and entry forms. Be sure to ask for electricity from trade show managers up front if you are in need of it. Also, don't let any piece of company marketing material leave your trade show domain without your company brand and contact info on it - trade-show visitors Should really know how to get in touch with you after the trade-show.

Tip 2: Get ansers by asking easy going questions

Ask open-ended questions. The biggest fault of trade show participants is imposing closed-ended questions. Questions that can be replied to in a yes or a no is detrimental to you showing your company offerings. Allow me to explain myself. Prospects view closed questions as a way of avoiding answering. They give you a no or yes, while they keep on walking. This accomplishes nothing. You want them to pause and think about your company product. Force them to stop and reply to your question. Begin an interactive conversation. Plan some good "introduction lines" before you even get going.

  • Preview new custom exhibit.Finalize graphics art / copy.Is it an eye-catching concept? Does the new signage support the brand;are they linked to the theme or new products?
  • Order staff badges.
  • Create and order lead forms.Finalize inquiry processing procedures.
  • Prepare orders for:drayage,electrical,cleaning,floral,etc. Take advantage of any pre-pay discounts.
  • Follow up on all promotional items,making sure everything is ready to ship by target date.
  • Prepare press kits.
  • Check with staff on airline and hotel reservations and travel dates.Make needed changes.
  • Develop briefing packet for booth staff.
  • Schedule training for booth staff at show.
  • Send reminder to upper management about briefing meetings (in office and at show);include agenda. Source
  • Tip 3: Interactive Trade Shows.

    If people figit with objects they many times become attached to them. They get an idea of the way the products feel and become more happy about the probability of purchasing them. Therefore, advise your exhibitors to arrange audio exhibits that trade-show attendees can operate easily -- they will feel as though it is a part of the trade show experience when they get aquainted with your products.

  • Meet deadlines for free publicity in the exhibitor guide review.
  • Submit authorization form if you are using an exhibitor-appointed contractor.Create list of required services, noting deadlines for “early-bird”discounts.
  • Plan on what literature you want to have available in the booth.What to pass out freely,what to control.Check out inventories of current items.What new material needs to be designed?
  • Plan any in-booth presentations/ demonstrations.Start writing any scripts and schedule rehearsals.
  • Distribute show plan to staff.
