  • Select space:Study floor plans,traffic patterns,services, audience makeup. Do you need power? Is there a need for phone or internet connections? Do you need to be against a true wall?

    Trade-show preparation is most important

    Preparation, testing and troubleshooting prior to showtime is critically imperative. Organize the supplies you'll require, professional signs, booklets, leaflets, brochures, ballots for draws and folders. Be sure to ask for electricity from trade show organisers up front if you will need it. Also, don't allow any piece of corporate marketing material leave your tradeshow booth without your cormpany ID and contact info on it - people Need to know how else to get in contact with you after the trade-show.

    Probe your trade show visitors for information

    Ask open-ended questions. The biggest fault of trade show participants is asking closed-ended questions. Any question that can be answered in a yes or no is prejudicial to you establishing your product or service. Why you might ash, the reason is pretty simple. Prospects look at closed ended questions as easy to not respond to. They may give you a no or yes, while they keep on strollinf away. Now you are no further ahead. You you would like them to stop and think about your product. and think about your product and services. Make them stop and reply to your question. Get the communnication lines opened. Plan some good "intro lines" before you start talking.

     

    Trade show countdown
    During Show
    • Conduct daily meetings with staff.
    • Make arrangements for booth dismantle and shipping.
    • Arrange for lead forms / business cards to be shipped back to office daily for processing.
    • Take a digital camera,use it to photograph competitors,and look around the show for great ideas from others at the show for next year (it can also be used as a copier in a pinch).
