It's showtime...are you ready?

Preparation, testing and troubleshooting prior to showtime is critically imperative. Round up the materials you will need, booklets, folders, Pamphlets, entry forms, ballots for draws and business cards. Ensure you ask for electrical energy from show organizers up front if you require it. Also, don't let any piece of corporate marketing literature leave your trade show domain without company brand and contact info on it - trade show visitors MUST know how to touch base with you after the trade-show.


Probe your trade-show visitors for information

Ask open ended questions. The biggest fault of trade show participants is asking closed questions. Questions that can be replied to in a yes or a no is prejudicial to you showing your divine service. Let me explain why. Prospects view closed questions as a way of avoiding answering. They give you a 'yes' or 'no', and they keep on walking. I would regard this as self defeating. You you would like them to stop and think about your product. and think about your product. Force them to stop and respond to your question. Begin an interactive conversation. Think of some good "intro lines" before you start talking.

Visitors participation is everything.

If people figit with objects they often develop an attachment to them. They become familiar with the concept of how else the products work and are more happy with the possibility of buying them. So, advise your show-booth participants to bring about audio presentations that attendees can operate easily -- feeling like they're sharing the show experience with you as they connect with your product offerings.

Bring a photo album illustrating your success stories and pictures.

Especially great for independent professionals attempting to market an intangible product. Pictures of workshop attendees enjoying themselves and doing different projects or having dinner together or a Company birthday party in your place of business with your customers is very attractive and connecting. People like be a part of things that they recognise as "a winner."
